Large retail fitout built under pressure in record time

Retail fitout is a different kind of building work, but one that Charas is well- suited to. Many of our key trades are employed by us, which means we can schedule them in and out of jobs with total reliability. That’s important when you’re working within Westfield, with strict access controls and tights scheduling of work.

Yellow Korner is a global chain of photography/art print retailers

Logistical difficulties of working on a site with highly restricted access. Their retail space needs to feel like a gallery but work as hard as a shop. 145 square metres is large for a retail store within Westfield, so we had to make the budget stretch.

We worked with an overseas-based architect who consults to Yellow Korner worldwide. While the look of the store has an industrial appearance, everything still needs to be finished to a fine level of detail.
